Exam

Today is the exam day :-s. Probably we will have exercises regarding the last things we did: data validation, advanced filter, format controls, PMT, Vlookup.  I hope it won't be so difficult..

Project

I've uploaded on my site the final version of our project.

Project update

Last night we finally managed to finish the project and the presentation and I think we did a good job. On my site you can find some drafts of the project and also the Power Point presentation.

Lab

On Thursday we learned how to use VLookUp fuction. In the example we had to give grades to students according to percentages. I think the function is a very useful one cuz we would have had a lot of calculations to do without it. I uploaded on my site the Excel file.

Today we have learned :

• to post comments
• to change the colour of the flag
• prepare the page for the printing

Lab no.4

The lab on Thursday was pretty interesting. We've learned new things about Excel formulas. Some things weren't new to me: how to construct a formula, speed techniques for entering formulas, operators .What I didn't know were cell ranges and especially naming them and also detecting and correcting errors in formulas.
Another great thing: Excel gives you the opportunity to use data from different worksheets in a formula. This is called a 3D reference.
